  • Interesting reading.  Thanks.

As far as I can tell, there's no mention at all of the HM Courts & Tribunal Service Mediation stage in:  **NEWBIES!! PRIVATE PARKING TICKET? OLD OR NEW? **READ THESE FAQS FIRST!** Thankyou!

I picked up a few tips including from this thread. Thank you.

I recently had my call from official Mediator.

It was only the day before they called when HM Courts & Tribunal Service sent me a reminder text that I knew anything about the upcoming aMeduatir call.   Then I found theit Mediation Appointment Confirmation email in my Junk folder, from weeks prior.

That email full of information (including how Mediator will call a Withheld number).

Anyway, we didn't settle. Mediator nice and polite and official.  The other side didn't counter offer from my offer, and Mediator told me they say they will proceed the claim to court.

If she misses the call the case will progress in the usual manner anyway,  probably no biggie at court,  but it's judge bingo

Ideally nominate someone else to take the call on her behalf and offer £zero,  or £5! Then say £10, no more than say £20 if they are only claiming for a single pcn   ?

If no compromise is reached,  politely end the call, 5 to 10 minutes should suffice,  because its about a compromise settlement,  or no settlement,  not about the case itself

I thought most of these are given up on before they get to court? your wording leads me to believe that's not the case....

They usually are, but in the meantime its your local civil court that will deal with it,  afterthe CNBC transfer the case,  until the hearing fee deadline date or not, because that is the put up or shut up point

Obviously the early Mediation call takes place. See the easy 8 steps in the Template Defence thread, which covers this pointless phone call. Not important.

And nothing to do with a court hearing.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
