Morning All
Bright this morning with a lovely sunrise, looks like it will be a fairly mild day.
I've been up for a while getting things ready for the little one to come and stay tonight - her Mummy and Daddy are going to an Indian Cook School day tomorrow in Perth and it starts quite early so she'll stay here tonight and I'll take her into breakfast club in the morning. The cooking day was a wedding present from 18 months ago but they hadn't managed to get it booked until now.
Hoping everyone is well and you all have a good day. Take care. XX12 -
Morning all, off to my weekly aqua class this afternoonSleep pattern still all over the place!
It normally takes me a good two weeks to get back to normal
lovely and sunny down here in KentCarolbee11 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's a bright morning here as well, nice to see the sun.
We were out early yesterday, I had an appointment at the Eye Hospital , a check up after my operatioa month ago. We waited quite a while, had photos taken of the back of my eye, and finally got to see the Dr. It's wonderful what they can do - he'd removed the crumpled membrane behind the eye which was. distorting my vision, and also the cataract while he was there, so to speak. Anyway he doesn't need to see me again. I'll need new glasses in a couple of months.
Not much planned for today.
Hope everyone else is ok, and has a good day.
Take care folks.13 -
Morning all
Lovely bright and sunny day here but still cold.
I managed to get Rob to the Dr yesterday they think it’s a reaction to something and have given him some cream, antibiotics and antihistamine to stop his scratching, I have asked the home to get him some washing powder like his mum uses so hopefully that will stop it, she said to go back if it doesn’t clear up.
MOT day for me today I hope it sails through with nothing major, Rob and I will go to the shops while it’s in and get a cuppa somewhere then come home for some lunch.
Dinner tonight will be a meatball sub with some mozzarella-yum. Washing is up to date and house ok although I will need to run the hoover over later.
Marie how lovely to see you posting, sorry life is tough for you atm xxx
Have good days all and take care xx11 -
Morning all, lovely sunny day again, cold though, cars frosted again.Quiet day yesterday. I saw NDN outside talking to a man with a dog, looking up and down, turns out he'd seen a big dog running loose. He tried to hold it but no collar. It must have got across the main road after - I was still talking & we saw it run after the man so hope it was found.Got a call from DGS mum, could we call and get him some pyjamas she'd ironed for world book day today. He was very pleased to see they were the ones like an England football kit :)Also had to call at the Mr S near school to get some bread and bits for DS.Not much on the cards today atm, take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning folks and thanks GERS. Another lovely start here with the sun up and shining. It's supposed to stay with us all day with temps of 15/16 deg, sadly rain is due back tomorrow with the temps dropping. again.
I had a lovely day out yesterday with my bus buddy. Skipton as usual! It felt lovely wandering about in the sunshine. A nice lunch was enjoyed. too. We think there has been a total overhaul of staff as, the same as last time, there were new faces on the bar and serving meals. So maybe the kitchen staff has had an overhaul too. So, for now, all is good with our favourite hostellerie!
Unless I hear to the contrary I am meeting my DF for lunch, postponed from Tuesday thanks to my blood test appt. Another new to us place to try out which gets good reviews locally with lots of regulars. I'll try and summon up some enthusiasm to do a quick clean of the kitchen and bathroom before I depart and then it eases the load for the Friday Tidy tomorrow.
Have a good day folks and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. It was lovely to see a brief message from MM last night but sorry life is still a struggle. Take care one and all and stay safe xx

Up, dressed and first coffee steaming. A belated 'welcome back' @Carolbee, coming home from Aus is always a shock to the body. Mind you, my family in QLD are battening down for a cyclone.@Marie - how lovely to see you posting again despite your health and life struggles. xWell done on looking after Rob @Ruby, it's the little things which make the most difference.Excellent eye news @Scarlet.The MOT went well yesterday, car passed with no advisories - blooming well hope so as it's the first one!
I arrived in good time and had a good blether with the older man who gives out drinks, collects cars and generally potters about. Then I drove into Glasgow city centre to test out a route - all fine - and back to the west end to post off the phone to my friend's son and my old passport. I like to use a little PO in a wee shop near to where my late DM lived though timed it badly as the next-door secondary school children were out for a break and lining up outside to buy snacks. The formidable lady owner was doing crowd control and letting adults through. I didn't do any shopping though I surprised and delighted myself by, on the spur of the moment, deciding to buy a Zinger - hadn't had one for about eight years. Boy, was it good.
At home found the DVLA road tax reminder letter. It's an expensive month already. New phone, car tax, passport fee and, coming soon, council tax bill. Only thing missing is car insurance but that's not until August. This morning I have my pool class though I'm really tired after the long drive yesterday, can'@Scarlet.I hope that everyone has a good day - hugs to all.10 -
Morning everyone
Just a quickie as my mam has a doctors appointment, so I'll go down to sit with dad before work.
I needed to print 5 photos off for work and my new phone wouldn't 'talk' to the printer, then said i could only have black and white. I had to email myself the photos and send them to the printer from my laptop...it's done now anyways.
It's to be a lovely sunny day here too.
Right, best get my packed lunch made. Hope you all have a good day x
Nice to see you Marie x11 -
Morning all! Sunny again! Allotment today, I put the doors on the shed and emptied the greenhouse yesterday instead, so thats done. Pain though, because now I can see other things that have to go from the new shed to make room for things like my bicycle. [another thing that should go because I will never use it again - maybe I can sell it] Two strimmers and a leaf blower can go though...[the little strimmer I use for this garden but the big one was bought when I had to clear the garden of the house in wales...and even that wasn't heavy duty enough
But now I can get on with seed sowing and gardening so the sun is welcome, I love spring, it's just so full of possibilites!
Gers, well done on completeing your questsRuby, well done, hopefully Rob is more comfortable today. Marie, long time no see! fingers crossed for better days...SO, sounds like your garden will be sorted in no time! TA,, fingers crossed for successful day out today! Allie, check the cost of tax before you plump for a new motorhome too....carol, wb after your travels! camelot, that sounds really good, I love a good experience day, it's a great present I think. Rosy, hope the dog was ok. Hope book day went well for him! Take care all, it's a dashing post today...

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers. Good to hear the car passed the MOT.
I've been absent a few days but have been reading along. Hi to @meanmarie - good to see you posting x Good to know Rob has you looking out for him @RedRuby1231 - I hope the cream does the trick. Great eye news @ScarletRibbons x
DH and I are going to an installation of Mars at Rochester Cathedral tonight. Will grab a bit to eat first in the High Street. We have had a spendy few days with DIY bits and bobs for DD's room, but did get a refund on a few bits that were unused - it all helps. I still have achey hands from our stint at the community allotment on Tuesday - my hand hurt so much it woke me in the night, along with meno symptoms. Will be needing an afternoon nap at this rate!
Have a good day all
