Could anybody help with the wording for a letter, please?  We’ve tried speaking with them again but unfortunately they just laugh now. Unpleasant characters.

Here are some direct comparison pictures between the show room version and the delivered version - it’s a slightly different colour but the fabric is the same

I am not sure what the best next step is, but I do agree that the sofa you have received is different from the store model and, as you mentioned, the same type of fabric material (colour makes no difference) so you'd expect the same "tight" fit.  It may be different if the store model was a smooth cotton type fabric (or whatever it is) and then you had a velvet or corduroy fabric which can be different.

I also think the photos show clearly that the fabric in the backrest has simply not been pulled tight at manufacture as, if this was wear related, the cushions would be showing similar crumpling.  In addition, the model in the store has probably been sat on and stood up from far more times than your sofa at home.

Are you able to name the retailer?  There may be people with prior experience and able to share a guide as to how to achieve a successful outcome.

You mentioned that the store and the finance company are both denying any claim.  Did you pay in full via the product-linked finance, or was there an initial deposit paid by credit card?  That might give another avenue to follow, though it is probably not what CC S75 was intended to cover.

Could you get a local upholsterer to  give you a report on it?

Thank you for the comments and advice - genuinely appreciated.

It’s Natuzzi Editions, also trading as Designer Sofas.

From what I’ve read online since, it seems to be fairly standard from them with customers saying they’ve had the exact same experience.

The product we received isn’t the same as the one we agreed to buy.  Other people seem to say they’ve been treated the same.

Just complete disinterest in what happens after the sale and as shown here a very poor quality product.
