Selling shares questions

Wife has the following shares all seem to be held with Equiniti shareview
Tesco worth £82,000
Shell worth £4500
Centrica £750
& We both have Lloyds shares only worth £85 each
We are looking to prob cash in all them except the Tesco shares.
Should we just do it through Equiniti or is possible & worthwhile to transfer them over to another provider first.
Any suggestions to who welcome.
Regarding the Tesco shares what is the best plan for them before we cash them in sometime in the next few years

Easier and quicker to sell through Equintti i think there maybe a fee to transfer out to an other broker . If your holding on to the Tesco ones i would look at your options to move them .1

What are the dealing costs on the Equintti platform for selling?1

Presumably the shares are not held in an ISA?
If not then it must be worth thinking about CGT.
Will you make a gain or a loss when you sell?
You each have a 3k allowance for CGT.
It would be worthwhile matching losses and gains in such a way as to keep the gains below the £3k allowance1 -

Does "all seem to be held with Equiniti shareview" mean they are held purely electronically with them, or do you also have paper certificates for them? If the latter, you can transfer them for free into many low cost dealers, eg iWeb (perhaps Trading 212 as well - I've never used them).0

You should be able to transfer certificated shares into iWeb (as already mentioned) and also x-o (Jarvis). Either will do the transfer for nothing and then the commission for selling them will be £5 (iWeb) or £5.95 (x-o). She will have to open an account with the receiving company to do this, but it is simple to do.
Check the cost to sell in Equiniti but I think it may be a lot more, if they are not certificated but are held digitally (nominee) by Equiniti she should still be able to transfer to another firm but Equiniti may charge for the transfer.1 -
