Energy fix dilemma

Hi guys and Gals
I am new here and a bit confused with my energy fixing in advance of the new energy 6.4% rise
i have been with Scottish power for 10 years and have always been happy with them but due to this upcoming rise I did a search and decided a EON fix was better for me… so I switched.
since I switched 4 days ago Scot power have been pestering me with offers via email and today they rang me to try and get me to stay.
Scot powers best rate is 50.5p standing charge per day for electric
and 24.861p kwh
gas is 33.0p standing charge and 6.59p kwh
EON rates that I have signed up for is.. 47.28p standing charge and 22.67p kWh electric
gas is 30.42p standing charge and 6.14p kwh
to me on paper the EON deal is the best but scot power have now said they will credit my account with £100 if I stay with them… this has thrown me a curved ball that I can’t seem to work out what is the better deal, also soot power has half price electric between 11 and 4pm on weekends.
sot power tell theirs is the better deal… but they would wouldn’t they?
I would be grateful for any help working this out
thanks in advance …

Check all the rates inc VATNever pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

all prices include vat and I think we are regarded as a below average user.0

You need your estimated annual usage to really see who is better

You'd be better using your actual annual usage to compare.Get two actual readings,12 months apart, and use them.0

A typical house uses about 12,500 kwh of gas each year. If you round that down to 10k as a low user the price you pay for gas is:-
Eon £614
Scot £659
Electric - average around 2,700 kwh, say 2,500 for you
Eon £566
Scot £621
Standing Charges :-
Eon £0.777 per day = £283.61 pa
Scot £0.835 per day = £304.78 pa
Eon Total = £1,463.61
Scot Total = £1,584.78
Difference is £121.17 in favour of Eon.
If you use a lot of electric in the half price weekend windows you might make up that but your only saving 12.4p per kwH. You'd need to use 170kwH per year in the cheap window against the normal window to make up the £21 and your £100 credit would make them the same price.
Tbh, why don't Scottish Power just charge you less in the first place, or ask them for £150 after doing the maths.1 -
