Should I switch?

Uswitch is telling me if I switch from my current provider (Loyal Octopus 14M fixed) to So Energy would save me about £250 a year. Would you do it? I am not sure how accurate these comparison sites are and whether it is actually worth the hassle. Octopus will be fixed for 14 months (and already £300 cheaper than the tariff I had before) and So Energy is fixed for 2 years (with an exit fee of £75 but I don't think I would switch as energy prices arent going cheaper any time soon?) Any thoughts?

Switching is not really a hassle. Multiple your usage by the rates they offer and you will have your answer.moneytroll said:Uswitch is telling me if I switch from my current provider (Loyal Octopus 14M fixed) to So Energy would save me about £250 a year. Thanks - I have done all that. (Uswitch calculates everything for you, annual usage etc) and gives the answer that it will save us around £250 a year to switch. I am asking if people would switch just because it's cheaper or are there other considerations.MattMattMattUK said:

Thank you. i just hope the Uswitch numbers are in fact accurate. But if price is fixed for two years I don't see why not. Thanks again.QrizB said:moneytroll said:
