Speeding fine

Hi. I received a speeding fine but I was not the driver. I nominated the driver at the time and gave all details required. The driver received the fine letter and replied with confirming and filled out the form in front of me and posted it back. But now I am being taken to court for the offence because the police say they did not recceive the confirmation letter from my nominated driver.  I have discussed with my friend “driver” but he did reply (I was present when he filled it out and posted). Please help

As we major on private parking tickets here, Free Traffic Legal Advice forum will be your best bet for police tickets. If you do receive a ticket, register there but please note that a hotmail address may not work - try using a throwaway Gmail account instead if you do have trouble registering and post a new thread; here's your link:
Have a read through some of the other threads, including 'Read this first before posting your case' (and use the NiP Wizard) there before you post your own to get the hang of what information they need from you in your opening post - but as a minimum you will need to post redacted photos/scans of all correspondence you've received from the police (both sides, if appropriate) as they need to see all the small print.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

This makes no sense, you can’t be prosecuted for the driver not responding if you have nominated that driver and they have received their own NIP.

Was your friend insured to drive your car? What exactly are you being prosecuted for?

The police saying that they did not receive the response from the nominated driver but i made sure he filled it and posted it . He had taken out a day insurance from online insurance company . He showed me it before setting off. But I did not get a copy or made a copy of it .  Being prosecuted for failure to supply driver details and speeding. But by sending me response that the driver nominated is not responding means that they got my nominated driver form. Now I got court next week. What more can I do ?
