I bought a sofa from DFS in November. I got a text from this delivery partner called Humber services on the 3rd of December saying it was ready for delivery. Fast forward and today I still do not have it. I can't explain how long I've spent on the phone to both DFS & Humber (at least 12 hours) and all I get is lies lies lies. I really do not know what to do/what my rights are? I had another delivery slot scheduled today (5th March) and I think they've all but cancelled it as it was scheduled for 6pm but now delayed "4 hours due to a truck breaking down." I keep having the carrot dangled in front of me of a new delivery slot, just for it to not turn up and be cancelled for a random reason that obviously isn't true. Looking online this is an experience loads of customers are having with humber services (through DFS). I feel like crying I've had to take days of work numerous times, spent nearly £2,000 on a sofa that isn't coming, got rid of my old sofa (the night before it was confirmed the new sofa was coming the next day, for it to never come). I just honestly need some help with what to do? Can I take legal action and how would I do this? I was thinking of contacting press outlets as this seems like an issues 100s of consumers have experienced but not sure if they'd care. Thanks for reading this I am really anxious about it and not sure what to do.

How did you pay for the sofa?0

It amazes me how badly some companies perform, yet remain in business.
You obviously are entitled to your sofa or a refund, and the only question is how best to assert your rights.
One way is to use the Furniture Ombudsman:

No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
@georgehadji99 - sorry but your account isn't clear.
Have you complained at all to DFS about failure to deliver or have you only been deaing with their partner Humber?
If you have had dealings with DFS about non-delivery, have you in those dealings actually agreed a delivery date, or has it been kept vague, or have you given them any deadlines?0
