in Cutting tax
I have just seen that my Marriage Allowance has dropped to £600 for tax year 25-25. My circumstances have not changed from previous years when I received £1200 from my spouse who was and still is not working.

Marriage allowance involves a fixed amount of £1,260 - what has given you the impression that this has changed?0

When I questioned this, on the phone contact given, I was told it had been reduced as I am now an intermediate tax payer.
I do now pay a small amount at intermediate rate but I am not certain that it should effect the allowance transfer amount.
I am still searching around for info that I can use to clarify. Regards0 -
Are you close to the £43,663 Higher rate, I know if you are above it you can't claim the marriage allowance, maybe it tapers as you get close?0

£600 x 42% = £252 (the MA reducer amount).
It helps prevent you owing a lot of tax if it turns you aren't entitled to Marriage Allowance0 -
