Dunno where else to put this but as it's Scottish widows, I'll start here!
I've just found an uncashed 25 year old demutualisation cheque from Scottish Widows. Now I know cheques are time limited and I won't be able to cash this one, but given it's Lloyds Banking Group, it's not like they don't still exist / the money won't still exist.
Any suggestions? Or is it pointless?

How much is it for?
Scottish Widows still operate as a (nominal) bank as a trading name of LLoyd's, and have contact numbers on their site.
This one's for the savings helpline but might be able to help : 0345 845 08290 -

GDPR requires them to minimise the personal data they hold on people, there is a reasonable chance they no longer have the data to validate if the funds were drawn or not, if your still a customer the odds may be slightly better. Ultimately you need to speak to them and see what they say... could be this was a lost cheque and a replacement was issued and cashed.0 -
