There's the water + energy increases on top of that.Smaller councils without social care duties can only increase bills by up to 2.99%.Annual growth in employees' average earnings for regular earnings (excluding bonuses) was 5.9% and total earnings (including bonuses) was 5.8%.The National Living Wage is 6.7% higher and 16-20 year olds is rising by 17%So things are looking good at the moment, for workers and some retirees.

My council tax went up 5% and this week only half the refuse and recycling was collected!
...and there seem to be alot of street lighting not working, which is fine so long as I get home before it's dark and don't need to go out later.0 -

thanks at @Baldytyke88 yes all reported but it takes months to get anything fixed. The street lighting has always been a problem, for over a decade I repeatedly report, the council takes several months to fix.
The recycling gets collected eventually, then is collected regularly again, then it goes back to only partly being collected. Recycling is all in correct containers and visible at front of property.
I also report regularly about how recycling and food waste is left littering the streetbut nothing much changes.0 -
