Hello all, the sun and clouds are battling it out today. Still not 100% and had an awful sleep last night so feel a bit of a wet rag. I will be doing some gentle pottering until I go for my GP appointment late this afternoon, hopefully she can throw some light on what ails me. Only a dermatology appointment to get through next week then 👍
AA enjoy your time away playing with the new campervan
Gers safe journey and fingers crossed for the MOT.
RedRuby I hope you can get an appointment for Rob and they can fathom out the rash.
Take care al, hugs to all the poorly ones.
nan xx

Morning all. Another sunny day in store, more than welcome after all the grey days we've had. When I was out and about yesterday I saw more Spring flowers in bloom as well as a blackthorn tree covered in blossom. Not to be confused with hawthorn that I've always known as May blossom. It was so nice not having to be hampered by hat, scarf and gloves and I even ditched the winter coat in favour of a lighter one.
Yesterday's pancakes were fab and I've made another meal out of the three spare ones. Rolled up like cannelloni tubes, filled with leftover chilli, a sprinkle of grated cheese on top and frozen. With some veg or salad added, that will make an easy dinner for another day.
No sign of the snail invader this morning, I'm hoping it's been sucked up by the vaccuum. Mind you, I've done so much cleaning of late it may well starve to death if it's still there - I'd defy anyone to find a ball of fluff, cobweb or a speck of dust anywhere!
Today I'll be collecting my tablets from the pharmacy; they sent a text last week to say they were ready for collection and I didn't even have to phone with a reminder beforehand.Apologies @TA - this isn't meant to rub salt into your wounds! Even better, it will be a no-spend outing as there's nothing around the pharmacy, just houses. I have a corned beef hash in the SC, some for tonight and some for the freezer. Other than that, it's a gentle pottering day.
@Gers - I'm constantly amazed by your techie abilities! Hope the MOT goes well.
@AA - Enjoy your trip up Lancashire way and good luck with the camper van search.
@Ruby - Poor Rob, something else for him to contend with, hopefully you'll get a GP appointment for him.
@dp1 - Yes, that's my thinking too - one large order each month for the heavy/bulky stuff with top-ups in between for the fresh stuff.
@taff - You're always so busy "doing" that it's good to hear you took some time out for socialising.
@Nanny - Fingers crossed your GP can help today.
Healing wishes for those not feeling well, sympathies for the sleepless, enjoy the nice weather if you have it. Hugs where wanted or needed. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.9 -
Morning, just. Well it was when I started.
Another spring like day, enjoying this weather. Yesterday we tackled the road diversion out of the village. True enough 1 road was also closed, apparently for repairs to the potholes. The District council and the gas people really worked that out well. Overall the journey put an extra 10 miles on the clock. And we have this for the next 2 months.
I think quiche and salad tonight, but I can see DH turning his nose up already. In my haste to get on here I haven't read today's posts, off to do that now. Have a good day all.9 -
Hi everyone, terrible jet lag ( first world problem I know) means I haven’t really done much

Evening all,
Nice to see so many familiar names of people who are better correspondents than me.
Life is a bit of a struggle these days, means I get very little time to keep up....hugs to those who may remember me
