Newbie Solar Panel Questions

In the next few days I will be moving into to a new (new to me) house which has an air source heat pump.  I have an EV (Tesla M3LR).  Solar panels seem like a good idea so i've made some enquiries and have been told I should get 14 panels, 2 x Fox batteries (21kwh in total), inverter and a Zappi car charger.   Total cost around £12k.    We have no idea what our annual power consumption will be but it's been estimated at 12500kwh.    Can anyone advise if the have similar and if it works and the best tariff to be on to maximise performance and costs.  Thanks as always.

Seems like a sensible sized system though you should be able to get it a little cheaper ideally. 

Whatever you do, make sure the Zappi is wired grid side of the main consumer unit and the solar/battery inverter(s). You need to be able to hide the Zappi from the battery so it doesn't discharge into the car. 

Go for whatever tariff offers the cheapest night rate. You want to charge your car and batteries as cheaply as possible then export as much solar as you can while importing as little as possible at peak rates. You can also heat your water and home on the cheap rate too, though it will need a constant top up which hopefully the battery can sustain.

Ideally batteries want to be DC side of the inverter
