Train from London to Bempton

Thank you that is cheaper although sadly from my home station in the London suburbs to Bempton it is more than that but better than other websites. I would never have thought of looking at Hull trains website.daveyjp said:For east coast stations check out Hull Trains from Kings Cross. They have fares from £25 each way to Hull. You can then take an onward service to Bempton.0 -
Through tickets are often more expensive to book than buying tickets for each leg.
I recall pricing Yorkshire to Inverness via Edinburgh. Buying a cheap ticket to Edinburgh and a walk up ticket from Edinburgh to Inverness halved the price. Booking the Inverness leg in advance reduced it further. It suited me to have a brief stop off in Edinburgh rather than a few minutes to make a connection.
Even with split-ticketing, I still check Yorkshire to Brum and to Bristol then onwards to the West Country. Even ended up with a first class ticket to Brum that cost less than an advanced standard class one time.
Double check the major stations on route for your preferred dates, you don't want to be travelling when there is a major sports event.
Explore the options for combining tickets in say May, because prices are already released. From that you'll learn which combinations can be cheapest. If you've have not made a mistake, you've made nothing1 -

The Scotrail website does split ticketing as well as the likes of trainline1
