Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It seems to be quite a nice morning, fine and dry.
Yesterday was an ok day, I went to the Book Club then did a bit of shopping.
Nothing much going on today except taking up some trousers, a friend asked me to do them, then the quiz tonight.
Hope everyone is ok and has a good dsy.
Take care folks.12 -
Morning All
Dry this morning again, I could get used to this but I had better not, rain is due tomorrow.
Busy day at work yesterday, cleared up after the fun day - we raised over £500 which was good and the children enjoyed it. There's a small event on today by an external agency, I'm not happy as we have to cater for it.
Glad you had a good time in London dp1.
Hope you're having a peaceful week and not heard from the mad one Ruby.
I was thinking about Florence, haven't heard from her for ages.
Your night away in the caravan doesn't sound very relaxing TA, hope you get the boiler fixed.
Not a lot happening here, really must dust the living room and give the fire a good clean later.
Take care. XX12 -

I woke with a start this morning as a thought about my car road tax zoomed into my peaceful mind - had I missed paying it? A quick search online reassured me that it wasn't due until 01 April but by then I was wide awake. Then I lay in bed watching the sky turn from grey to pale pink to bright pink to baby blue and now back to a wishy-washy grey. That forced me up!The shingles vaccination yesterday went smoothly, I had a lovely chat with the nurse who was Australian - I queried why she went against the tide to come here, seems it's true love and her husband wouldn't move. In the afternoon my arm began to ache a bit, nothing too much though it's still slightly achy this morning. I'd rather have an achy arm than catch shingles so a coffee is sorting me out.Talking of coffee, last night I decided to order a filter cup and papers. I really enjoy fresh ground coffee but the faff of a cafetiere is always off-putting so it's back to the over-cup method for me. Visitors will still get their coffee the other way so everyone is happy.Today I have an M&S order to collect so will probably drive up this morning whilst the weather is pleasant. Tomorrow I'll be out of the house very early and I think that Thursday will be wet and 'orrible.@TA - what a nasty surprise for you, I hope that the boiler can be fixed without too much expense. @Ruby - well done on avoiding the sister. @AA - enjoy your time away - where are you going?Have a good day everyone - hugs to all.10

Morning all, returned home yesterday after six wonderful weeks with family in Australia
Not been reading along so I’ll just say hope all are well
Bit of a shock to see frost here in Kent this morning though 🥶Carolbee11 -
Morning all
Cold and very frost here I will have to put the heating back on for an hour this morning so that my guests are not cold, I have three coming today and we are off to a local beach where there is a peninsula you can walk all the way around, we are meeting some friends there and will have a picnic lunch and then a hot drink in the cafe it’s a lovely sunny day although cold so as long as we wrap up we should be ok.
Dinner tonight will be chicken Kiev chips and peas, I have done an Ocado delivery for Wednesday as they have sent me a few £15 off vouchers I just need to nip into Lidl on my way home for wine as it’s much cheaper in there.
Gers thanks for the mot reminder link I have signed up so hopefully no more near misses in the future xx
Carolbee welcome back xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all Chilly but looks like the sun will warm me up a bit later there is a frost on the cars and DH said it was -3 when he went to work yesterday morning at 6am
Carolbee I bet it was a shock to the system waking up to frost this morning
I am off to get my nails done then may take a trip to Costco later as i need to return something and i find 3pm on a tuesday is an optimum time
Dinner tonight will be a root round the freezer to make a final choice
Have a good day one and all stay safe and i hope the sun shines wherever you are xxSlava Ukraini9 -
Morning and welcome back Carolbee, that time went quick.
Bright and frosty again, lovely to see the sun. Yesterday I did do the kitchen sort out. I had to get motivated after our daily dose of Popmaster, but once started got into it. One cupboard emptied except for 2 boxes of dog treats, need to find a home for them. I was horrified to find a jar of jam at the back dated 2017! Some items thrown and a bag for the CS.
DH needs(!) to go to Screwfix again today, so I'll go along to check out the road diversions now the road is closed out of the village. Yesterday was chaos as one of the diversion roads was also closed. We are just before the closure but I do wonder how people within it will get on regarding deliveries. Obviously they have access in and out.
Off to get ready for another day, have a good one all whatever you're doing.11 -
Morning folks and thanks GERS. It was a glorious early start here with the sun coming up over the moors. No frost and the sun is forecast to shine all day. That'll do nicely.
No plans today other than a blood test in the middle of the day, scuppering any plans for either morning or afternoon! I had a text from B's at the w/e to say my prescription is ready to collect so I'll call there on the way home. Fingers crossed there isn't the same debacle as last week!
Not a lot got done yesterday thanks to the stressful w/e at the van taking its toll. I spent most of the afternoon asleep on the sofa and still slept all night when I went to bed. I think I might have caught up on sleep today! No news yet about the ailing boiler but it's still early days.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"9 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Welcome back @carolbee
Lovely and sunny this morning, haven't been out but it's probably still chilly.
Plan for today is to get into the garden if only for an hour. Gardener hasn't been for a while. Lawn is growing.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.10
