Should I have received notification of payment by now?

Payment made on morning of Feb 28th via a traditional bank transfer (their ecospend thing kept failing.) All the instructions were followed carefully. I provided my email address, which they claimed to ask for so that they could notify me when they've received my payment.
Should I have received notification by now?
I'm aware that it could take a while for my actual NI record to be updated, but I thought that I would have at least received an acknowledgment of payment by now.

Not totally sure what you're referring to but a few banks had issues on 28th Feb. Has your payment definitely gone through?0

I'm referring to topping up my state pension. As far as I can tell the payment has gone through. Nothing suggests otherwise.0

Be various internal stages that the payment will go through to be processed. The 28th was only Friday.0

As I said, I'm aware that it takes a while for my NI record to be updated, but I thought that a receipt of payment might come a lot quicker, likely being automated.
I know I'm being impatient. I just wondered if anybody else had paid with a traditional bank transfer and what their experiences were.

What does your own bank statement show? Was the payment made? If so, stop worrying and wait. If not, ask your bank why not.

My bank statements suggest that the transfer was successful.
I just find it unusual that HMRC have provided no acknowledgment of my payment when their online process specifically requested that I (optionally) provide my email address in order for them to do just that. I'd be worried less if they hadn't given me that expectation.

I would contact The Future Pension Service who send you the letter telling you the relevant years and the HMRC again as I had exactly the same issue. When I asked HMRC if they had received the payment they said they had but did not know what to do with it as I hadn't entered the relevant years so it had just been sitting for 3 months in their bank. What on earth is the very long reference number they give you for ! I requested a receipt be sent immediately confirming the years for the payment, and quickly got a receipt. However the payments have not been adjusted yet. The process is absolutely frustrating, lengthy, and confusing.0
