JISA - advice needed

I have cash JISAs for my 6-year-old and 14-year-old with Loughborough. Would it be advisable to move to a stocks and shares JISA with only 4 years left for my eldest? And if so, any recommendations please?

Other way round. I would think it's worth moving your 6yr old into a stocks and share JISA but keeping your 14yr old in cash ISA. As I understand it, S&S is better for a long term investment but as it's only 4 yrs left for your older child, you just want to make sure it's in the top paying cash JISA. If you moved to S+S JISA and the value dropped, there isn't long enough for the funds to recover. As your youngest heads into their teens, it will be worth keeping a watch on their S+S JISA and maybe move it into cash JISA when they are around 14/15, depending on how it's performing.
