Inheritance money

Options
So it’s been around 5 months and the house isn’t on market yet will it take much longer? We are due some inheritance money but sadly the house isn’t on market yet some people say it takes years now some say less time any ideas?

Maybe if you provided a bit more useful information on the state of the estate's probate or administration process, someone might be able to comment meaningfully.

Otherwise it's all just bits of string...

    My apologies

They were a single person and the house is going to the women’s 2 daughters and it’s around £240k for the house

There are effectively at least three questions here:
    1. How long until the house is put on the market?
    2. How long will it take to complete the sale from then?
    3. How long will it take to distribute the proceeds?
Question 1 is one for the executor who's dealing with it, but question 2 is a massive unknown, and will depend on local market conditions, the level of interest in the property, etc.  Question 3 is also one for the executor and will depend on the complexity of the estate and so on....

Yes I think that’s my concern how long before it can go on market. I will sell fast but im wondering how long before they can sell?

When you've asked the person dealing with it, what have they said?

The property itself is being left to the two daughters, or the house is to be sold and the two daughters get the proceeds?
That’s a big difference In terms of what happens next
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
