GSP delays, anyone else experiencing them?

I sent 2 parcels via the GSP on the 17th of Feb.

One was special delivery (ultimate destination Dubai) and arrived at the GSC on the 18th of Feb.

The second was a RM Tracked 48 (ultimate destination China) which arrived at the GSC a day later (19th Feb).

Today I got two messages from eBay, one  telling me they had despatched the Dubai parcel (a mere fortnight after they received it) and a second e-mail from the Chinese buyer asking where their parcel is as eBay estimated it would be with them between the 27th of Feb and the 5th of March.

Anyone else having similar experiences, or aware of any GSP issues recently?

i don't really ever check, once it gets to the ebay hub I forget about them unless a buyer contacts me. On the rare occasion a buyer does query a delay I politely refer them to ebay to deal with.

I have in the past though had issues with items going to Italy and the US, but have been happy to respond to the buyer but let ebay sort it out.

I've noticed delays at the GSP hub. Where it used to be a turnover of a couple of days now a couple of weeks seems to be the norm.

I rarely do either, however this time it just so happened to coincide that I posted these two items a couple of days before I left on a 12 day holiday, so when I got the query from one of the buyers just before I returned, it was easy to establish how long they had been sitting there.

I know that the responsibility now lies with eBay, but that doesn't prevent this leaving a bad taste with the buyer and them then deciding not to buy from me again purely due to eBay's poor performance.

PS. The China bound item still hasn't left their warehouse, pending "verification", but in eBay's defence, they did release the funds to me the day both my shipments arrived at the GSC.

They'd better pull their finger out though as they only have 1 day left to get it from here to China within their delivery window!... I wonder if we will be able to give a late shipping strike against eBay for missing their estimated delivery dates in the same way they are so happy to against us!  :)

So a bit of an update, I checked the shipping today to find if it the item had been dispatched from the GSP yet (as eBay was showing it wasn’t dispatched on the 5th of March),only to find a whole host of New tracking information showing that it apparently it was delivered to my China customer on the 4th and had left eBay’s uk shipping centre on the 20th of Feb! 🤷‍♂️

I'm beginning to think ebay may have some IT issues , lots of little niggly failure to update like this, random changes to some seller dashboards etc.
