A relative was scammed very recently out of over £1000, not the £25 quoted - assuming that it was the correct site as it comes up first on Google.  I've reported them to Google as this company have taken the money but not provided the requested paperwork.  Makes me very angry!  :s

That sounds a variation on the theme - most of these sites aren't really "scams" as they do provide the services they claim to for the quoted price, but if they just take money and run then hopefully your relative can get a refund via his card company.

I hope they contacted the bank/card provider too - this will likely have gotten the money back if the services was not provided.

I sadly used one of these by accident. I couldn't find the local government LR website, just kept going round in a loop which was very frustrating. Now I find no documents but payment taken and no way of getting in touch with them. The 'contact' form doesn't work unless you input your order reference, but of course the one they sent doesn't work. Infuriating! I suppose will just have to put this down to experience. Since discovered can get the documents required for much less, sigh!

What do you mean by the "local government LR website"?
