No Claims Discount

Hi - my daughter is 20 and has 2 years NCD. She is going abroad next year so doesn't want/need to renew her car insurance. When she gets car insurance in 12 months, will she still be able to apply her 2 years NCD? Thanks

Usually yes.  Most insurers will recognise a NCD that is up to 2 years old.  Obviously she'll need to keep proof of her existing NCD, which should be quoted on her renewal invitation.
NCD has no legal standing, it's more a kind of "marketing gimmick" used by insurers.  But most insurers will recognise it for up to 2 years after you last had insurance.
