PCN- restricted one way road- HELP

Looks its PCN week for me! Thanks in advance for your help.

I received a PCN for driving into a restricted pedestrian road, just 7 minutes after the restriction period started. I honestly didn’t see the sign at first, but after checking Google Maps, I found a large tree was blocking the sign on my side of the road. There is also a no-right-turn sign with the restricted hours on the opposite side, which I missed.

Once I realized I was in a restricted area, I immediately put on my hazard lights and reversed out of the road, having traveled less than 10 meters. However, the footage shows me entering the road and activating my hazard lights, but it doesn’t capture me reversing. Additionally, since the road is one-way, reversing could be considered a prohibited action.

I’m wondering if I should contest the PCN and what grounds I could use. Any advice or similar experiences would be really helpful! Thanks in advance!

I am assuming that this is a council matter,  in which case please take your query over to the FTLA parking forum website and post in the appropriate section there,  after reading their posting requirements first.  Try to avoid a Hotmail or Outlook address when signing up
