What is a CCA

As far as I understand it a CCA is a consumer credit agreement. I have been told to get the original CCA from my DCA. Would this be the agreement that I originally signed with the bank? (the debt is now with a DCA due to bank account being closed as they put so many charges on I couldn't get back in the black)
I'm a little bit confused, so if someone can explain, that'd be great!
Thanks
