Spurious VED Reminders

Car tax due 1st March this year.
Paid by credit card on 8th February. Payment confirmed by Amex, and the car is showing "Taxed until 1st March 2026".
I continued to receive regular reminders by text and email, which of course I ignored. But today I got "The tax has now expired"..
Is this a known problem?

Are these reminders coming from DVLA or a third party? I get similar from AA, but CBA to turn them off.
Is there an Unsubscribe option on the emails?1 -
