There can be a debt that is being paid off at a fixed amount per week with those which does not show on the main display. The way to check if this is the case is to use a search engine to find the instructions for the particular model that is installed in your property and then follow the method given. If it turns out that your tenants were in debt to their electricity provider you will need to let that provider know that they have left and have their debt wiped off the meter otherwise you may end up paying it off yourself.
It might also be prudent to check with the Council Tax office, the water company and any other utility companies you know about to let them know that your tenants have left and that you are responsible for bills from this date onwards as you don't want to get stuck with their bills.0
