๐Ÿš— Council Parking Fine Issued Days Later โ€“ Is This Allowed? ๐Ÿš—I

Need Advice on a Council Parking Fine โ€“ Is This Even Allowed?

Hi all, Iโ€™ve received a parking fine, and Iโ€™m looking for advice on whether this has been issued correctly. Hereโ€™s the situation:

โ€ข The council recorded a time of 09:53 to 10:06.

โ€ข A payment was made at 10:35 through my workplace accounts team, as they handle this process.

โ€ข I understand there is a 15-minute grace period, and the time recorded was 14 minutes.

โ€ข The ticket was not issued at the timeโ€”it is dated 26/02, but I only received it today (01/03) in a completely different car park under a different district council.

โ€ข When I attempted to check for any supporting evidence, I couldnโ€™t see anything, so I have challenged it.

Iโ€™d really appreciate any adviceโ€”can a fine be issued retrospectively like this? It doesnโ€™t seem right to me, but Iโ€™d like to hear from others who might have experience with this. Thanks in advance!

I find that difficult to believe.
You seem to be saying that someone drove to a different council area, stumbled upon your car, rummaged in their bag and place a three day old ticket on your car. Nah... didn't happen.

Can I suggest that perhaps you had been driving around with it tucked under your wiper arm for the last few days and then three days later you suddenly notice it there?
