Options
Hi All.

Received an NTK in the post for “Vehicle Parked on yellow lines/hatched area”

“recorded duration 2mins 33 secs”

i don't see any yellow lines?

should i appeal using the one size fits all or add something about no/faded yellow lines?

Don't add anything they will just quote the "There is clear signage throughout the site" nonsense save it for later.
That looks like it's a road (private I assume?) clearly not parked the door is open, and it would be quite normal for a motorist to assume that as they are using DYLs they mean what authorities (who basically they are copying) say they mean i.e you may stop to drop off or unload for a short period.
But as you state it looks like the DYLs are virtually non existent anyway, they would need far better evidence than this!

Easy to win at POPLA if that's the evidence!

Do i need to add anything in the first appeal? Or add it later in the appeal to POPLA?

Have a look at their pictures online (in case there's a better angle?) and appeal laughing at their evidence. Tell them if they want to have a lurking camera trained on an unmarked kerb they could at least get the yellow paint out and mark it clearly first.

Show us UKPC's pic of the sign please.

Perfect. That sign also fails to offer a parking contract because it prohibits parking (as opposed to a contract offering it at a price).

Is it worth adding anything to the appeal around the faded lines? If so any recommendations on wording please?
