Paypal - pay in 3 / 12 month installments

Recently had a couple of purchases via paypal (both interest free) using Pay in 3 and 12 monthly instalments.

But the D/D hasn't changed to take these into account - it's still at the minimum amount and I can't see an option to change it to take the appropriate amounts (bar manually working it out or manual paying stuff). What am I missing?

  • My understanding of the pay-in-3 is that each purchase gets it's own payment plan, and then your PayPal DD is used to take payment on the day of the month each one is due, rather than a single monthly DD. I'd expect you will have multiple PayPal payments taken as and when they are due.
