Eon internal switch exit fees

Hi

Can anyone tell me if EON Next are currently charging exit fees for internal switches from their fixes? I emailed them but I wasn't convinced the CS person new what they were talking about.

I don't believe they are charging for internal changes but it will say on the email and Ts&Cs you receive when you sign up to a new tariff for which you have 14 days to cancel. However, E.On Next's system is notorious for still applying fees when they do not apply, which can be easily removed by a phone call or email to them.

I switched from an existing fixed E.on tariff, with £50/fuel exit fee, to another fixed E.on tariff four days ago. All went smoothly and no fees.

I have previously done similar without any fees being added.

As Swipe has written, this is in the e-mail I received on changing "An exit fee of £50 per fuel will be applied if you change supplier before your tariff end date"

No they do not.  Well they may apply them in error - but a quick call to Customer Services get's that rectified.

I know because I switched to 18m fixed in Jan with a £50 exit fee... then decided to trade car in for EV... switched to EoN Next Drive at the weekend.

Many thanks all. I thought I was being misinformed. I did an internal switch early last year but wasn't sure  if their policy might have changed.

I've just been charged £50 for changing fixed tariffs.

Have emailed asking why as I'm not changing supplier and for them to refund it.
