Couldn't access Halifax, Lloyds, Co-op or TSB.  Nationwide have a message up about delayed payments. I wanted to send a payment to my new Co-op RS (long story) from TSB which stalled so sent it from BOS instead.

I can get into First Direct app but can't initiate payments (to an existing payee), ends up either with error FD001T when clicking the option to "pay an existing payee" or sometimes moves to show the list of existing payees and ends up with error FD006T once a payee is selected, amount specified and attempting to continue...
I had the same problem - I just tried again and it’s now working

Major banks hit by online issues

Some UK customers are suffering online banking problems today.

Nationwide, First Direct, Lloyds and Halifax have all confirmed issues with their online banking systems, and say they’re working to fix them.

I did now manage to get in to my account on a desktop and complete the transaction I wanted to, but it was working very slowly and I was expecting a failure at any moment.

This was at 10.37am, Lloyds app. Logged in, no problem, after selecting "Continue". Either now fixed, or as per message, affecting some customers, not all?

The Halifax app works fine for me. I thought the screen with the exclamation mark saying the app wasn't working and I almost closed it, then i realised you just press continue to carry on.

I'm having strange problems with my Nationwide Accounts.  Two attempts at the cash machine were rejected as wrong PIN for Current Account.  I was anxious not to be locked out and the lady in the Nationwide branch checked using a card reader (I keyed in my PIN as before) and it indicated that my account was working.

Later this afternoon I tried again at a different Nationwide cash machine and, again, PIN not recognized.  I tried my Nationwide Credit card for a balance and it too rejected the pin.  I'm sure I entered the correct pin.  I didn't go into the branch this time as earlier the card reader seemed to say that my account was not blocked.  I wonder if this is related to the current problem.

This is a topic about Halifax, they are nothing to do with Nationwide

Unfortunately Nationwide app doesn't seem to have any functionality to view the PIN so you'd have to request a reset from them which will come by post

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.
