Is there a page 2 for that letter, because you need to see the deadline for submitting your witness statement and evidence.
Is tis the case likely to be heard by a judge or bigger chance the fraudsters will drop it before then?

Interesting,  you will know that answer if they pay the trial fee this month,  not next month

Clearly Manchester know how to make them jump through hoops to comply with directions

Check if the fee gets paid after that September date,  to know the answer

Meanwhile,  keep checking your inbox and spam folders for their N279 NoD document,  same as everyone else

They'll try calling you, then they'll discontinue within 2 weeks. It'll all be over then you can change your thread title to 'CASE WON' and we will then need to see the NoD please, so we can count it in Umkomaas' thread.

     :)

While you wait for your battle to end like a damp squib, please please join the war and do this:

    FIGHTBACK ALERT:

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline.

    See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-now-extended-closes-friday-26th-september/p1

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam 15 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Notwithstanding all of the above, prepare to send your witness statement and evidence before 11th October; if the claimant doesn't pay the claim fee or they discontinue, you don't have to send it but if they do pay, you are prepared in advance rather than trying to compose a last minute WS.

So despite bleating that they need to add silly money to collect a PCN, DCB Legal are yet again prepared to accept £95 net - after taking off the £35 court fee that they are believed to 'front'- which means they'll likely return £60 to the PPC (if this case was paid) and DCB will charge the client £35 plus VAT.

Don't pay, because they'll discontinue as DCB Legal are hearing-shy.

These jumped up claims - about 120,000 per annum from DCB Legal alone - are all about using & abusing the court system as a cheap form of debt collection (first resort rather then last resort) and scaring most people into paying a disproportionate sum.

So, MHCLG: please please get this right:

The parking industry can in future do DRA stage this way without wasting court time, can't they? And they'd all make more money. DCB Ltd operate on a % share basis for vets, dentists etc. so they CAN OPERATE IN THIS SPACE WITHOUT ADDING MONEY.

UK Government: stop being taken in. When regulating a rogue sector your first duty is to consumers.
