updating date of file

on my mse file for a loan it says updated 1st feb , i paid this off in full on the 5th feb - does this mean that my file will update on the 1st march ? and this loan will be gone ?

In all likelihood yes.Lenders send their reports in to the CRAs at different times - some weekly, some monthly, some may use other frequencies, but monthly is pretty common. When your lender next sends their scheduled report to the CRA, your file will get updated.Though do bear in mind that the free version of the report that you see isn't real-time - unlike the paid-for version that a lender will use. So it may take a while after the CRAs have applied the latest feed from your lender before you see the update on your report.1
