I am sole carer for my 92 year old father living with him I am 61 he wants to sell up and buy a smaller property for us both to live in  what financial implications are there

    What sort of implications did you have in mind?
     If it’s his property now, and the new property will also be his, it doesn’t make any difference. 

    if he’s planning on donating some to you to avoid potential future care home fees then that would be problematic. But any property you are both living and would be disregarded anyway because you are over 60.

    Is he in receipt of any means tested benefits like pension credit?  Having too much cash will stop this I believe.
