Hi,
I get my NHS pension lump sum soon and am considering putting some into an investment ISA however I know nothing about these. I don't think I would know how to manage this myself so considering a managed account.
I will also look at putting some into a high interest account. Does anybody have any advice to offer?

What are your objectives?
Not taking the tax free lump sum (or a smaller amount) is often the best option.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.1 -
I am taking my full lump sum which is tax free but I will still have a small NHS pension as I am only taking partial retirement.
I just need to put some away for when I do fully retire and hopefully build a little on this, although I know it won't make much but feel this may be better than it just sitting in my bank.0 -

Have you worked out how much guaranteed NHS pension income you are giving up by taking out the lump sum?
You've suggested that you don't have immediate need for the full lump sum, so why would you take it all out?
There are threads on the MSE forums that rank instant-access and notice savings accounts, including cash ISAs.loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0 -
You have checked that you won't have to take the income part of the DB pension alongside the lump sum?
