Morning again. It's raining on top of frost here, treacherous for walking.
Ruby, sorry to read that you're still having trouble getting money from Rob's sister, what a nerve she's got.
Congratulations on the arrival of baby Thomas Bella, hope Mum and baby are doing well.
Not much going on today, I'm going to the shops and visiting a housebound friend, that's about it.

Morning all Its not raining so that's a good start ,dog is off for to the groomers and i need to go food shopping will probably be Lidl as i have a voucher , beds need changing so a normal day here just trying to find some storage space for all DGS 1 things as child minding duties have now finished so we will just have him on an adhoc basis i do miss him already but i dont miss that drive at 5am on a monday morning 
Ruby Hopefully the SW can deal with Robs financials sounds like their maybe some financial abuse going on not right at all 
DP1 sounds like little one had a wonderful day in London

Hi all
Slept a bit better thankfully.   No plans except a sunny cold dog walk.  

Managed to see the Dr yesterday about a skin lesion on my back - it isn’t suspicious so will be removed in a couple of months.   After all the issues some of you have with Drs we’re very lucky; rang at 8 and got through in under 10 minutes, telephone consultation at 920, face-to-face consultation at 10am! 

Family friend in calling by with a cake, she has a cold so won’t stay but cake will be appreciated!

Good morning and thanks for the start Scarlet.

Blue skies and sunny, but only 3 degrees at present, forecast to climb to 8 degrees. I'm off out to do my monthly big shop today. Would normally leave it until Monday but that's when the road out of the village is being closed for 2 months, so I think it'll be chaos. Will also pick up some steaks and wine for DHs birthday tomorrow. He doesn't celebrate his birthday 'now he's getting old', his words, so a nice meal and bottle of wine to mark the occasion.

Morning all

There is a frost here and it feels very cold but the sun is shining which is so nice to see.

The saga of Robs sister and the money goes on, I got my shared lives worker involved too and she emailed the sister yesterday asking that the money is paid asap, the sister went mad replying back with several ranting emails all in capitals that she has no money and can’t get to the bank as she works in a chemist 🙄 she ended up accusing me of bullying her and telling me she wants to give me notice, luckily I have copied the SW in on every single email I have sent her and have been nothing but professional so I hope the sw can see this, it really upset me and I spent a lot of the evening in tears and throwing up due to stress and I have not slept for most of the night. I have never bullied anyone in my life and I am terrified of what will happen to Rob if they remove my care, he cannot go back to that house it’s only a matter of time before a bad accident happens or he is half starved / dirty and poorly dressed, and I have raised my concerns with the sw. I will wait and see what today brings, I am going to call the sw this morning and ask her to intervene on Robs behalf.

I am sorry to go on such a lot about Rob and his care but it is worrying me so much, I really do appreciate your support xx

Dinner tonight will be the spag bol from yesterday as we ended up having a quick shove in the oven fish and chips.

Mehefin I am sorry of accusing you of beating someone up 😂 I’m very sure you are not like that at all x

Morning all,beautiful day but the car is still iced up. I've only just caught up on yesterdays thread & see congrats are due to Bella on her lovely new DGS.

Glad to see LO is enjoying olives and her stay in London-hope you do too @dp1

Ruby, I feel for you, it really shouldn't be affecting your health like that, not when you obviously care and do so much for him.They should be grateful!

DH came back with resistance bands and a sheet of exercises from the physio, and another appt in 2 weeks. He dropped me off for a bus trip to Bury market. We have an app in G/Mr for the buses which is very goodbut not when it tells you it's almost 30 mins late!. It was rammed when it arrived but the driver let us on, he said they were drivers short. He had to leave people stood there waiting at the next few stops I got a nice jerk chicken stir fry mix from one of the meat stalls, and spotted a lovely crochet cardigan, wish I'd got it now but I was bothered about the bus back, which typically was half empty.

Well thats all my waffle ,Oc order due shortly.Look after yourselves.

Oh Ruby: I'm so sorry Rob's sister made you feel like that. It's quite uncalled for and her being so defensive shows she knows she's in the wrong. I feel the time is approaching for Rob to have other accommodation, as his family aren't looking after him and he could have a far better life elsewhere but that's easier said than done.

We have DGS2 today and will be going out to MK with him, as I need a bit of shopping. Better batten down the hatches as he'll be arriving soon. I've already removed the tv remote controls out of reach

Morning folks and thanks SCARLET.  A bitter cold start but no frost and we now have blue sky and sun - and it's forecast for the whole day!  And before I forget, if GERS is reading along, happy birthday! I know it's some time around now as once of a day a whole bunch of us had birthdays within a couple of weeks of each other!

As usual the kitchen and bathroom will get a clean today first job but no idea what will follow. I'm still looking out on the upturned ornaments and pots in the back garden so maybe today is the day to address that! We get the sun all day at the back so it might, only might!, feel a bit pleasant out there.

RUBY we can all tell from your posts how fond you are of Rob and he really doesn't deserve such an uncaring family. I hope it all turns out for the best for both you and him.
