Went to tesco to use my tokens as I bought 7 Best magazines. Tesco would only accept one voucher. Tonight I went to ASDA, I spent £69.34, the bloke on the till took nearly all my vouchers leaving me with a bill of £2.24. I am extatic to say the least. Funnily enough though, the only vouchers he refused were 7 coupons for free muller corners, I had actually bought these, but he said sorry there is no barcode. I knew I could get someone to sort this out, but my bill would then have been 8p. I thought this would really have been kicking the backside out so I said thank you very much and left.

Wow Matt what an excellent result, how did you manage that one, we'll all be shopping at your ASDA, did you feel a little embarrased ?, hope the checkout operator doesn't get in hot water over it !

matt the muller yoghurts are on 3 for 99p in asda so if they'd put in 39-ish for each one like my till assistant did you'd have ended up with a minus balance :rotfl:

Eh? That's a really rubbish reply, isn't it... Looks like they didn't bother reading your original email properly and just stuck a bunch of template sentences together! Dunno what to say really, I don't think it clarifies anything...

thanks doormouse thats what i thought!! It dosnt clarify anything. why are they going to talk to the relevent people (till operators?) its not them that did anything wrong!! its the tills!

this needs to be dealt with at head office so that the tills aceept the vouchers.

I think you have been fobbed off. They aint really telling you much are they? However, i would recomend you follow up the questionaire by telling them how dissatisfied you were with the response. I had the same email a few months back and i told them what i thought of their service.... mind you, nowt changed.
