Could car finance letter help credit score?

Hi, my son had his car repossessed 2 years ago as he didn’t make his finance payments in time and this has negatively impacted his credit score.
He recently received a letter from the finance company stating they have reviewed their policies and procedures, to better enhance service delivery. They awarded him £180 compensation and state in the letter that
‘we could have done better. More specifically, our new policies would, if applied to you, have resulted in us recognising an element of your vulnerability & working harder to establish your ability to repay us’.
Can he use this letter as a means of positively impacting his credit score in any way, given that they accept he should have been given more time to make his payments? Any thoughts would be really helpful many thanks

    The short answer is no.

The credit score number is a made up fairy tale number which has no meaning.

Lenders can't see the number and will look at the contents of the file which will show the fact he failed to make the finance payments that he agreed to. This will understandably put them off lending/giving credit to him again.
