I'm also with Octopus. At every bill they advise if you can go to a cheaper tariff. And they don't charge you to you change tariff.
You don't know what fixed rates will be available from June onwards, so why would you change to a higher fix now? This would mean you're paying higher costs for the next four months.
It may be possible to work our what the upcoming price cap will be but this is not the same as the fixed price deals.1 -
Thanks for the advice, that makes sense for me now, i was getting the price cap mixed up with the fixed rates.0
