Concrete 'spur' to support post cost/quote

Can you give me some idea of what to expect please?
Both the guys who've done work for me before, one got a different job and another seriously ill so I'm at the mercy of random people.

I've a 7ft feather board fence and one post has come loose rather than broken.

I asked for a quote from the Garden Centre (knowing it would be high compared to a handyman) and it's £255 but they can do it soon.

An handyman should be half that round here I think but don't know - or no more than £200 but it's finding one for a small job.
So many fences down locally I'm not sure whether to keep ringing round or just swallow the cost to get it done.

I'm not well so there's temptation to just pay up and take one thing off my mind but could be more stress trying to find just the labour.

I can rise and shine - just not at the same time!

I have just had 2 spurs fitted to a 6 inch post damaged in a December storm.  The fence repair tradesman charged £85 per concrete spur for supply and fitting.

This was in Mid Cambridgeshire.  Not sure what others charge.

    Hobgoblin thanks for replying.
I unfortunately had the GC guys turn up and say they could do it tomorrow (back in Feb) and agreed because I couldn't get anyone else even to call.
Turned out to be over £300 :'(
I know I was ripped off but health probs et al and a load of household probs I got it done just to get some security.

I know I was ripped off. If things had been different I would have waited. But sometimes stuff happens.
I'm just over the channel from you.
