Grant of confirmation - additional documents

Options
Hi guys,

I've been using some of these threads, predominantly those supported by @buddy9 to complete the c1 inventory form to help me obtain a grant of confirmation so that I can sell my late mother's house

Both me and my brother are will executors with equal share of estate. The house is worth £75k... And moveable assets are are £20k, for context.

Despite ( fingers crossed) completing the c1, I cannot see any guidance on which other documents I would need to send ( such as, death certificate, bank statements, title deeds) in with the completed c1 form.

Can anyone advise or point me in the right direction?

Many thanks :)

Title deeds and bank statements not submitted.

Include the will and anything else docquetted re para 2 declaration.

See also SCTS website for requirements.

Hi again @buddy9.....I wondered whether I included some form of cover letter with the completed c1 form?.... I'm conscious that my only contact details are my address?... Tia

If you are posting, a cover note makes sense. Include a phone contact number because the norm is for the court to phone and ask for payment of the fee by card.

You might also request duplicates for the grant of confirmation if you need them

A duplicate Grant of Confirmation is signed and sealed and has the same status as the original. (£14 for a duplicate if ordered at same time).

More usual for applicants to request and use certificates of confirmation for specific items in the inventory (at £9 each if ordered at same time).

Last question I promise...... within the inventory, when I'm noting bank account details...IL assume that the figure I enter in column 4 will be whatever the bank balance was on date of death?

Date of death balance including interest. Here is an idealised example for a branch based account:
