Should I jump now from British Gas Fixed Tariff 12M v8, which ends in July 2025? Do people think that similar fixed deals that are available now will still be available in July? My current deal is 23.22p per kWh, 66.70p per day standing charge (electricity) and 5.45 per kWh, 31.53p per day standing charge (gas). I have to pay £50 per fuel to exit early, but don’t have to pay of if I swap to a British Gas fixed deal. The best British Gas fixed deal currently is Fixed Tariff v32. This is 24.53p per kWh, 66.70p per day standing charge (electricity) and 6.42 per kWh, 31.36p per day standing charge (gas). TIA

Why on earth would you want to do this? I'm on that tariff too and it was a very good move to get on it.

Wholesale gas prices have fallen quite sharply in the past few weeks so fixes could well come down between now and when your present fix ends.

Make the most of your cheap fix while you need it. March is not always a guarantee of spring like weather.
