Home insurance with a couple of high value items

Hadn't spotted it but thats annoying, not going to be fun when my Home insurance comes around for renewal.ShoppingProblem said:Hi....
Looking for some help linked to this and apologies if it's covered elsewhere.
I to have or should I say had the M&S insurance with a high value single item at £15,000.
As I'm sure you know it's been discontinued and the quote sent by Aviva requires specific details of any items over £2.5k
Does anyone know of another equivalent insurance to the M&S policy or one with a more comparable single value.
I have looked online but the 2.5k seems more common.
NFU have a fairly high single article limit in the home, they are very low for items taken outside the home though. Hiscox's basic (by their standards) and Aviva Smart Home both have higher single item limits in and outside of the home but their premiums reflect that they are more aimed at mid net worth type people.
Think Axa does to, given they used to underwrite the M&S one. Unfortunately many of these products arent sold direct to consumers but only via brokers and I've always found those verging on MNW are poorly served with brokers preferring HNW customers who are less price sensitive and much bigger premiums.
There is John Lewis Specialist Home with is £10k valuables and £25k antique single item limits1 -
Thank you. Will check them out.MyRealNameToo said:

I was with M and S. Hiscox quoted me £2500. LV has a SAL of £5k but a little more expensive than Aviva and Halifax/Lloyds. Waiting for a quote from Alan Boswell Brokers. Covea and AXA Advance have high SAL. John Lewis has also pulled their Premier Select products.
