Good luck, let us know what happens.
I do sympathise, I also had a L3 and the surveyor was unable to lift the carpets or move furniture, I found out six months after completion the floors were all rotten.,£216 saved 24 October 20140 -
So the cupboard is built on top of of the original cupboard that might have been smaller as can be seen in the image , the second door/frame is the original cupboard’s door and the vertical line is the crack that starts from the floor and go to the ceiling as shown in previous picture.0

We nearly bought a house that had a hidden problem. We knew a previous buyer had pulled out for no obvious reason. We had a full survey and everything looked fine. We were then gazumped by someone who paid an extra 30k (3.5% so not massive). It turned out that the reason the first buyer had pulled out was that the 2 storey extension was pulling away from the house. The sellers solution was to build fitted cupboards, with backs to hide the cracks! We had thought that the bedroom layout was strange, with an excess of cupboards. Pure karma to the gazumpers!I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly.
