SCAM WARNING ABOUT WINTER FUEL PAYMENTS

Hi everyone
I thought I'd pop on and warn people about a possible scam that has been brought to my attention today, well actually it was a text message sent directly to my personal mobile no informing me that I was going to be kicked out of a 'group' ?
There is no heading or name for this group. The text message says I haven't applied for the Winter fuel payment and need to do so immediately, there is a link provided (it's all gobbledegook, as is usual in these scams) and informs me I will be kicked out the group if I don't do this by the upcoming deadline 24/25 Feb... Just so we're clear, I'm not of pensionable age, and I certainly wouldn't belong to a group like this!! I can see in the message a few random mobile no's I don't know if they are made up or if they exist! I hope that no one has clicked on that link.... 😥 Worthless scum are scammers!
I've sent the details to 7726 hopefully they can track them down!!

I got the winter fuel one from the 'Gov website' after I turned my phone on after waking up at 10pm. Half asleep, I started to fill my details in, I only had 2 hours before the cut off date! Gave them my name, address, email and mobile but part two of the form wanted my bank details and a £1 payment (to be refunded after a few days).
