Hi
I am 19 and fortunate to have a child trust fund over £16,000 this means I’m not entitled to UC
Im wondering, as I’m not working either as I am doing short courses online whilst I volunteer for the national trust and hoping for an apprenticeship.
How do I make NI contributions? Or dosnt it matter at this stage? Just worried about having gaps in my record
thankyou

Currently you need 35 years of contributions to qualify for full State Pension. At your age I'm afraid I suspect you will have another 50 years before that date arrives. It's good that you are thinking to the future, but I wouldn't worry about it yet.0
