Where is everyone this morning?
Back from our jaunt to Derbyshire - a bit damp at times but a nice break and there was even a glance of the sun occasionally.
Off to work - just want today over for lots of reasons so will be glad when 4 o’clock arrives - lucky though that this is the only ‘out at work’ day this week. Itching to get things tidy in the garden and the weather is annoying.Anyway - best wishes to everyone, especially the poorlies: and happy travels to those having holidays this week.AA13 -
Good morning, thanks for starting Allie, hope work goes ok.
It's fine here at the moment, yesterday was wet most of the day.
I'm meeting a couple of friends this morning in a local cafe, so not far to go.
Hope everyone has a good day, whatever you're up to.
Take care folks.14 -
Morning all
Raining here and supposed to be for most of the day only Rob coming today as the other lady is poorly again, she has handed her notice in with me as she is poorly so often and doesn’t like letting people down it’s a shame but no great loss really as she hardly ever comes.
We are going to meet some friends today and go to a community cafe for lunch the food there is good and very good value so it’s always nice, I have a meeting after work so I’m hoping that won’t go on too late it’s my carers review so hopefully it will go ok.
Dinner tonight is roast pork from yesterday so just needs heating up, I shall hoover through before my meeting and have a quick tidy. WM is on and doing its thing so that can go on the airer.
Have good days all and take care xx

Good morning, thanks for starting us Allie, hope work goes ok.
Dull out, I think showers are forecast. Usual chores today, DH is replacing the electrical socket covers, we had some that were brass but had tarnished over the years, so he's replacing them with brushed stainless ones, look very smart I must say. It's a job we've been putting off as it means switching the electric off, but needs must. It's just resetting all the clocks that's a pain.
Hope your meeting goes well, Ruby, have a good day with Rob.
Have a good Monday all, hugs to all who need them. Take care.12 -
Morning folks and thanks ALLIE for the start. Yesterday we got off more lightly than expected. We got gusty winds and some rain but not too bad. Today all is calm and fine but light rain expected.
First job I must do my dosset boxes. I really dislike that job. That will clear me out of a lot of my meds so I should really go down into town to pick up my shipping order from B**ts. For the last few months they have been unable to get supplies of one of my BP tabs so will see what I end up with today. The surgery consented to an alternative but nobody ever checks to see how I am doing on them! Oh well it will be my annual review shortly so that should get a mention.
Middle DGD texted last night inviting herself for tea today after school.. What with school work, dancing lessons and now her Sunday job at the museum tea room it seems ages since I saw her. They asked her if she could work any days through half term last week which she was happy to do as she loves it, as well as the extra money! I have some Bolognese ready made in the freezer so will get that out and treat her to her favourite pasta bake for tea!
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, sad or lonely. Take care all, stay safe xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"11 -
Good morning, thanks Allie.RainingHad a nice visit from DB & SiL yesterday afternoon, then DS2 & DGs, more wine to add to the rack. Thanks for the B wishes Yorks Lass. He wanted to watch the football before we ate, the chicken in the sc was a bit overdone, still tasty but very soft, quite a bit left so not sure what to use it up as, might be soup!We have to go and collect our new specs at lunchtime so might pop in to the nearby Italian cafe.I had a message from Oldest DF, enjoying the NZ trip and off to Aus next to see some family, back at the end of the week I think. Also had a message from ex Sis iL for DH birthday, from Thailand with photos . Think my friends are telling me to get out more! We are quite tied atm as lylapup is really showing her age, she cant see properly and doesnt like being left on her own and barks! Found out yesterday our ND neighbour is in hospital with a chest infection and thats why their dog was barking late one night last week, she had to put him outside to let paramedics treat and get neighbour into the ambulance. She told DS as he was working on his car outside yesterday so I'll try and catch her later.Back to school pickups today!Hope poorlies are recovering, take care all.:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Another dull and dreary day here.
Didn't do much yesterday but today I have my ear appointment so hope that can be sorted out. I might make a cake this morning plus I need to get a birthday card at some point.
Hopefully things are looking up with March on the horizon. I've just had a couple of invitations to music sessions, one of which I can't do but the other one is new and in a pub about 40mins from me so might go along with a couple of friends.
Off to London tomorrow and we have tickets for Lift 109 at Battersea Power Station. Looking forward to that, even though it means an early start to get the train.
Look after yourselves everyone and hope your day goes to plan.10 -
Morning everyone
It's half term here so no work this week. Little ones' new feeding plan has worked quite well over the weekend, with only a couple of dips in her sugars, so they're on their way to London. Hopefully she'll be ok and their trip won't include any hospital visits! DD has an extra bag with her bottles of milk, 4 a day, her feeding pump and her overnight feeds plus all the other medical stuff that goes everywhere with her! She's scaled their schedule back a little so they time in the afternoons for little one to have a rest. Little one is most looking forward to seeing the Lion King on Wednesday, I wish I could see her face when the animals come in. They get home on Thursday and I go to London on Thursday, for my Christmas treat from eldest DD, who will meet me there,
I spent a large part of yesterday making a playlist to go on the Simple music player I have ordered for dad and deleting photos, so many photos, so I could get more storage space on my laptop.
This afternoon I am stewarding at our local cinema, for the new Bridget Jones film, which I'm really looking forward to seeing. In preparation I watched the previous 3 films over the weekend.
I'm going to do the ironing I should have done yesterday, so I'll wish you all a good day x11 -
Hello all, after rain, rain and more rain yesterday and overnight, the sun is trying to come out. I had a better night with lessened pain and managed to sleep more.
Mr Fix It has gone over the next valley to see his friend and they're playing mechanics checking over both cars, so today I have some time to myself. I want to do some dusting upstairs and clean the kitchen this morning then I'll get on with my jigsaw because it's almost finished. TA I too have to fill my meds boxes today, it's such an exciting job, not !
I hope everyone stays well, hugs to anyone struggling, worried or poorly.
Take care all
