Morning all
Cold here and windy but no rain atm, I have got the bedding on a hot wash so hopefully we can hang it on the line for a while there is nothing like line dried fresh bedding.
Dinner today will be roast pork and all the trimmings I will do the veg after this and OH can peel the potatoes which is a job I dislike, cleaned a cupboard out yesterday and sorted my car boot which has become a dumping ground for all the bags for life, I bought a boot organiser and have put about six bags in there and got rid of the rest I don’t think I will ever have the need for 20 of them !
Bathroom to be cleaned today and a hoover and polish upstairs then the fire will be lit and an afternoon of relaxing is on the cards.
Gers have a lovely time away xx
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning all. After yesterday's Spring-like weather, today we're back to the usual grey and miserable with strong winds and heavy rain forecast. I knew it was too good to last!
It's slothful Sunday today with just a couple of little jobs to do, making a loaf of bread and shredding some paperwork being the main ones. And a slightly different one of hunting a snail that's somewhere in the living room! I saw a snail trail on the living room carpet when I got up and can only think it's been walked in through the patio door. As long as it's a snail and not a slug, ugh.
Today's dinner is a braised pork steak with mash, sprouts and a bit of Xmas stuffing from the freezer. Like @TA, my potatoes are also of the sprouting variety. Tonight's TV will be a double helping of Home Fires followed by Call The Midwife.
@Gers - Safe travels, enjoy the break.
@mehefin - The vertical planters idea sounds a good way to re-purpose the pallets, not to mention space saving gardening. I think they'll need to be fixed to something for safety reasons - maybe a wall or fence?
Nothing else of interest to say so enjoy what's left of the weekend, take care and stay safe. Help yourself to a hug or two if that's what you want or need. XBe kind to others and to yourself too.11 -

I didnt get on yesterday due to back to back football.DH birthday today and expecting visitors shortly.I've put a chicken in the sc for later, oops we had chicken yesterday too, chicken fillets done in peanut sauce with rice, with spring rolls etc to start.Derek, hope keeping busy helps. DS2 has made quite a few things with pallets, a wine rack and a key rack to name a couple that he made for us.Hugs to the worried,or poorly people .:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all, it's not nice outside after the dry sunny day yesterday, I dried a load of washing and put it all away, then watched the last episode of Lucifer, a series which I thoroughly enjoyed, so now we're looking for another series to get our teeth into. I heard from DD last night and she and DGS have tested positive for flu, I didn't know there was such a test. They are on half term this week so it's s0ds law that they are poorly. ( Son-in-law had it last week )
I've had a rotten night in pain so stayed late in bed this morning. Mr Fix It has put some beef steaks in gravy in the slow cooker ready for tea but I don't know which potato dish he will do, I'm just very grateful for his help, he's one in a million. I think the painkillers are kicking in and turning me to mush !
Mehefin you can only take one day at a time and there will be many ups and downs but we're all here if you need to "talk".
Camelot hope you are much better now.
Hugs to anyone in need

Hello everyone
I haven't read back yet, but I'm having a computer problem and just wondering if anyone can help.
I've organised a Simple music player for my dad, which should arrive tomorrow. I put Amazon Music on my laptop and have made a playlist, which won't download as I haven't enough space on my laptop.
There's loads of photos on which I've tried to delete, but laptop says it's unable to delete...they're JPEG if that helps.
I went on Snapfish and have deleted loads off there, as I thought that might help, but it hasn't.
Anyone any ideas before I throw laptop out the window?
Oh I've done clean up, defragmenting, making more space....4
