Inherited house problem

Evening,
my step dad left a house to myself and his two siblings. Shortly after he died the son moved in to do it up to a good selling standard. We all paid for the works. This was over two years ago. Although he’s being friendly and telling me it’s the agents fault blah blah blah. I’ve asked him outright if he wants to sell and does he want to buy me out. He says he does want to sell and can’t afford to buy me out. His sister is now in a care home and the mum who is now appointee won’t want to sell as the care home will take the money. These people are strangers to me so they will stick together and not force a sale.
what are my options? Getting a solicitor involved will probably cost more than my share. Can I sell my share (investor, agent etc) or any other way to get my share?

My situation has become a bit more desperate as to why I need the money this year.
Many thanks

Do you know if he has actually obtained probate? If has, then I would just tell him that you need this sorted without any further delay. If that does not get you anywhere then I would write to him giving him a short period of time to get the house on the market otherwise you will take legal action to have him removed. Hopefully just the threat of legal action will get him moving.2 -
Thank you. I think he’s playing a good game as he’s had the house on the market but nothing has happened in 2-3 years. I live 300 miles away so hard to tell what’s going on. He agreed to change from purple bricks to a local agent but I can’t find out which one. It’s all legally in 3 names now that’s why I was wondering about selling my share to an agent etc or just the threat of that might speed it along. Thank you for your advice0

as above, if the property is with any agent at all it will be on one (or more) of the property websites. Rightmove, Zoopla, OnTheMarket, Prime Location etc etc1

This also means you can’t get him removed at estate administrator as the estate has effectively been administered and distributed, so the only legal option is to force a sale through the courts which is going to be expensive. What is the value of the house? Do you already own your own home?0 -
