Travel insurance excluding pre-existing medical conditions.

I've just booked my first holiday abroad for 10 years. It's a week in Majorca. I have prostate cancer which is being treated by hormones only. I am 76 and otherwise reasonably fit. I have had a couple of quotes for travel insurance ranging from £600 to £700.
Is it possible to exclude cover for my cancer and just be covered for accidents, etc.? If so can someone please suggest a firm to try?

Just cancer you want to exclude or every medical condition you have?

Just exclude the cancer really. The only other problem I have is raised cholesterol which is being treated with statins.

So, if you exclude cancer from your policy what would happen (God forbid) if you were taken ill and the cancer is diagnosed as the cause ?
Playing a wee bit of the Devil's Advocate of course.

If you google you can find a few providers, below arent a recommendation but may be worth looking at:

JSInsurance, offer a policy with pre-approved cover for things like high cholesterol but any other conditions are excluded

AllClear - won't allow you to exclude cancer but a watch and wait diagnosis for a 76 year young man looks to be under £200

Try a quote from insurancewith.com we get cover through them for my husband with a multitude of issues! Worldwide for us both on an annual policy was only £350 last year.

The medical screening asks very sensible questions based on the actual illness.

Remember you can only judge on how good an insurance company is if you have a claim.

The price may appeal but will you get the support you need when you need it.

I've gone with InsureWith. No idea how good they are but much cheaper than other quotes I've had.
