  • However, as a loyal customer, at the moment we’re able to offer you a unique opportunity to fix YOUR current prices for the next 16 months

    🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

I have just taken the 16 month fix. For me the rates are identical to my current SVR tariff. If it does all go up as predicted, I will have done the right think. If it goes down I can use the No early exit fee get out clause.

I’m actually hoping that I’ll have a working smart meter before the 16 months run out - in which case I’d like to move to a smart tariff anyway.

I'm sure that's the same for everyone. If the OP's current rates are less then that will be some previous tariff not yet expired. But he's chosen not to give details.

I still think he may be missing VAT.

Yup same as mine and my current prices were also locked in.

I expect others may have had a different email as they aren't on the current prices but an earlier price.
  • On a fix which will expire in August with Octopus - not had this email.  However I wondered about fixing with this deal now.  Do not want to change from Octopus because of their customer service (SM2 don't connect and Octopus have tried their damdest to fix it - and I applaud them for that!)

Also I subscribe to Ripple and Octopus is one of their recognised companies.

This there any information on the off-peak charging times for the Loyal Octopus 16M Fixed? I'm currently on Octopus go with off peak hours between 00:30-05:30 for charging two electric cars. Will this be the same on Loyal Octopus 16M Fixed or is the no off peak?

the change tariff links appears to have disappeared for the moment, but don't think there are any off-peak rates on the 16-month option

Come here for the exact same query.

If fixing nukes the off-peak flex, then, it's a tricky situation that requires some mega calculations. If the off-peak rate window stays, but at the fixed rate proposed, I could be interested in fixing.

Octopus Go is a tariff in itself. There isn't a "16M Fixed" version of Go.
The closest would be the Economy 7 version of 16M Fixed, which gives you seven off-peak hours a day. However that's likely to be more expensive than Go in all respects.
